Pregnancy and birth are two of the most exciting and life-changing experiences a woman can go through. But unfortunately, there is still a lot of misinformation out there about what to expect during this special time in your life. In this blog post, we’ll be debunking some of the top myths about pregnancy and birth so that you can make informed decisions regarding your health care.



Myth #1: You Can't Exercise During Pregnancy – This myth couldn’t be further from the truth! Exercise during pregnancy is actually beneficial for both mother and baby as it helps keep mom fit while helping baby get ready for delivery day. Always talk to your doctor before beginning any exercise program but don’t let anyone tell you that you have to stay on the couch until delivery day!


Myth #2: Eating For Two Means Double the Calories – While pregnant women need an extra 300 calories per day (which isn't much!), they should not double their daily calorie intake or eat whatever they want without regard for nutrition or portion size. Eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins will ensure both mommy-to-be get all her nutrients while also keeping weight gain at a healthy level throughout her pregnancy journey


Myth#3: You Should Avoid Sex during Pregnancy - As long as everything looks normal with the mother's health & no complications exist then sex during pregnancy is perfectly safe & even encouraged by many Lady Gynecologist in Indore. Not only does intimacy help keep couples connected but orgasms may even help bring on labor when it's time!


Myth#4: Morning Sickness Lasts All Day - No matter how bad morning sickness feels, it usually doesn’t last all 9 months! Most cases begin around week 6& subside after 12 weeks into pregnancy. Some women may experience nausea throughout their entire pregnancies though so if yours persists beyond 12 weeks, consult with a Doctor immediately


Myth#5: Heartburn Is Normal Part of Pregnancy - Although heartburn affects up to 80% of pregnant women due it’s caused by rising hormone levels which relax muscles between the stomach & esophagus allowing acid reflux. Taking antacids or avoiding spicy food will often reduce symptoms significantly.
